NY road toll: 227 killed, 2,163 injured

Thirty-seven people were killed and 381 injured in 367 road accidents nationwide on Jan 2, the fourth of the "seven dangerous days" during the New Year holiday, bringing up the road toll to 227 deaths and 2,163 injuries from a total of 2,104 accidents, according to the centre for the prevention and reduction of road accidents.
