Thai Union Group scraps $1.5-bn plan to buy Bumble Bee

Bangkok (Reuters) - Thai Union Group, the world's largest canned tuna producer, on Friday scrapped a US$1.5billion acquisition of US rival Bumble Bee Seafoods after US authorities said the deal would be harmful to competition in the seafood market.
