Hopefully, the Diablo fans among us had a chance to take part in the free, open beta weekend Blizzard held a week or so ago. If you weren’t in on it, the beta offers up the first act in its entirety. Us heroes rolled through New Tristram, met some old buddies, beat the crud out of the walking dead and took on the Skeleton King.
You know, Diablo stuff.
The new TV spot you see from Blizzard at the head of this post went up this weekend. Just like the actual beta itself, it’s done nothing but get me extremely excited for May 15th. I can remember pouring hours upon days into both Diablo and Diablo II. For Diablo III, friends I ran with in the past are already downloading the installation client and getting ready to fire up this bad boy once the launch date officially arrives.
We’ll have it beaten before the day is out, and then we’ll be planning equipment runs in order to best build our characters. Man, that is so nerdy and I don’t even care.
